Fly 50, LX50 and S50 Recall

Piaggio is issuing a recall on its Fly 50 scooter and Vespa’s LX50 and S50 models due to a potential failure in the ignition control unit. According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the capacitor discharge ignition (CDI) unit on the affected scooters may fail, altering the ignition timing. This may lead to air-box backfire and a potential fire hazard.

The recall affects some 2010-2012 – LX50, 2009-2012 – S50, and 2011-2012 – Fly 50 models. We will replace the defective ignition control unit at no charge, please contact us to schedule an appointment.

Vespa Fuel Pump Replacement

Has your Vespa been plagued with a fuel pump problem? We have a fix. Vespa has a fuel pump recall going on. If you ride one of these Vespa or Piaggio product read close. First there should be no cost to you other than transportation to our dealership. Second we have fuel pumps in stock for most model’s. The New Typhoon 125

Vespa Milwaukie is the only Vespa Dealer in the Portland metro area with the new Piaggio Typhoon 125. We currently have both colors available Black and Yellow. These are an all new redesigned scooter from the bottom up. Great riding scoot gets about 75 MPG and will do about 60 MPH.

Piaggio designed this scooter with the youth market in mind. Great bike for all around riding high school and college. These also make a great scoot for RV’ers looking for a smaller light weight bike for short trips on the highway or to the store. The Typhoon has the lowest seat hight in the Vespa Piaggio line up at only 30″ this makes it easier for height challenged people like my self to ride. Commuting through Portland is easy on a new Piaggio Typhoon 125cc The Typhoon has plenty of power for 2 up riding so take your partner and go on a picnic. Easy parking at school downtown Portland and free parking at the Portland airport.
